What's New

All of us at Vallejo III, Inc. would like to congratulate Jen Vieira on a great start to her show adventures with Vallejo Moon Tiger. Jen purchased Tiger from us in April and has enjoyed getting to spend time with him. In just a few shows together, they have been successful in Western Pleasure as well as Sport Horse in Hand. At Region 16 Richard Thell and Tiger were named Top 5 in the Half-Arabian Junior Horse division and Maddy Thell was Top 5 in the Half-Arabian Western Pleasure JTR class. An ecstatic Jen said after Region 16, "I have to tell you, win or no win, I couldn't be happier with Tiger! He was such a good sport no matter what was going on. He's everything you all told us he would be."
Congratulations Jen!

Kachina Juell V, owned by Talking Waters Ranch in Buffalo, WY was Top Five in a very competitive Region IX Western Pleasure Open Class. Congratulations Max and Bobbi!

Bob Hart and Vallejo III, Inc. would like to congratulate Marnie Carpinella on her recent purchase of the Half-Arabian mare, Vallejo Full Moon. We are all extremely excited for Marnie and her future with Full Moon. She is a full sister to multi-National Champion Vallejo Zipinmoon+// and another great representation of Vallejo III, Inc's knack for breeding National caliber western pleasure horses. A Busy Fall Season Brings the 2010 Show Season to a Successful End for Vallejo III, Inc.
In August, Bob and Audrey attended Sheila Varian’s Summer Jubilee, along with clients Dana and Sarah Lockhart, Ron and Becky Rash, Bobbi Stuckenhoff, Max Torbert and Patti Sterling. For many of them, it was their first trip to Varian’s and they were star struck by the whole event. While enjoying incredible horses, delicious food and great company; the camaraderie among the group grew.

Dana and Sarah purchased two young mares, Marenza V (By Enzo and out of Maya V) and Madame Jullyen V (By *Jullyen El Jamaal and out of multi-National champion producing mare, Mosquerade V). Marenza has started her performance training with her sights set on the 2011 National Western Pleasure Futurity. Madame arrived at Vallejo a few months ago, and as a yearling, is enjoying some time to grow up before she begins her performance training next fall. Both will be shown in Western Pleasure before becoming broodmares to the Lockhart’s three-year-old Fame VF son, Eternally Fame RA. Both Dana and Sarah are extremely enthusiastic about the potential of these two young mares and are still on a high from their Varian experience!
Ron Rash has been horse crazy all along and while his wife Becky does not consider herself a “horse nut,” she has remained Ron’s staunchest supporter. When they made the decision to go to Varian’s, and the DVD of sale horses arrived, Becky was hooked!! While in California, they purchased the mare, Sweet Kate V (By *Jullyen El Jamaal and out of Sweet Klassique V). While the registration papers are under both of their names, there is no mistaking the fact that this is Becky’s horse! Both Ron and Becky are extremely excited about Kate and can’t wait for her to start her performance training.
Bobbi Stuckenhoff and Max Torbert attended the Varian weekend as well, but with no real intent on purchasing anything; Bobbi, who has been to Varian’s events before, should have known better! When they found Kachina Juell V (By *Jullyen El Jamaal and out of National Champion Khantina Girl V), Bobbi fell in love and they purchased the beautiful and talented three-year-old mare. Kachina will spend time at Vallejo III, Inc, in training and when she is ready, will be shown in Western Pleasure Junior Horse with Bob Hart, Jr. Bobbi’s future plans will be for Kachina to replace her great broodmare, Princess Huck V when the time comes. Although they will be large hoof prints to fill, everyone believes Kachina will be more than up for the task!
Though Frank and Jessie Szymanski could not attend the weekend at Varian’s, they were still fortunate enough to buy Shiloh Jullyen V, the last foal of the great mare, Sweet Sanadika V and by *Jullyen El Jamaal. Shiloh is a full brother to Reserve National Champion and multiple Regional Champion, Sahara Jewel V. Shiloh has all the potential to garner just as much success and we are all anxious for his debut in the show ring!
After the weekend at Varian’s, it was time to gear up for Nationals and the Vallejo III, Inc. show team hit the road for two pre-National shows. While in Springfield, Illinois and Murfreesboro, Tennessee, our young futurity horses gained show ring experience and our amateurs were able to get back in the saddle and have lots of show ring experience in preparation for Nationals. Both of these shows proved to be very beneficial to the young horses and amateurs in their quest for National success.
The Vallejo III, Inc. show team finished their successful year with a National Show that was the culmination of a year of preparation, hard work, camaraderie, and change. There were amateurs and owners who reveled in their first National wins, amateurs who “finally got it,” young horses who proved to be superstars and horses who were rewarded for all of their hard work and perseverance. In all areas, western pleasure, reining and working cow, the Vallejo III, Inc. team proved to be a formidable force.
Brent Gilman and multi-National Champion, Link to Fame+, picked up where they left off after their wins in Scottsdale and earned a Reserve National Championship in the Purebred Arabian Western Pleasure AAOTR 55 and over. Joining Brent in the ring for the final was his wife, Diane Powers and her mare Mademoiselle GA. Diane and Madem ended their successful show season with a Top Ten finish in the class as well. While Brent admits it was a lot of hard work, it was well worth it. “Nationals was really fun this year; the barn was full of great clients and incredible horses! I am just happy when I get to ride, and anytime you make it to a final, it is a thrill! Winning a National Top Ten is a great accomplishment itself, but winning Reserve National Champion was amazing! It really makes me appreciate when things go right! I love the success that the barn enjoyed and was really happy that Diane was Top Ten in my class as well! We had an incredible time and are really looking forward to next show season!” We are all proud of Brent for his commitment to learning, and his trip to the winner’s circle this year is just the beginning of many more to come!
Sunstormm, owned by Henry and Lian Roche, is a three-year-old by Sundance Kid V and out of Ice Storm TC (by Rohara Moon Storm+//) that was bred to be a western pleasure superstar. At the US Nationals, Sunstormm was indeed a young superstar in the making as he was named Reserve National Champion in the Purebred Western Pleasure Futurity. Sunstormm will continue his promising show career next year as well as begin his breeding career by standing at Vallejo III, Inc. Trainer Bob Hart, along with Henry and Lian, are extremely excited about the future of this young colt, and believe his talent, intelligence and beauty will make him a winning show horse as well as a phenomenal sire.
The beautiful Varian bred mare, Sahara Jewel V, owned by Stonehill Farms of Miami, OK earned a Top Ten in the competitive Purebred Western Pleasure Junior Horse class with Bob Hart, Jr riding. The win was particularly exciting for owners Larry and Carol Smith as this was their first Nationals to attend as owners. Jewel was also a participant in the APAHA Slot Program and as a result, won $4,842.73 for her Top Ten win! To make it all the more special, Larry and Carol’s children and grandchildren were in the stands to watch and cheer Jewel on to her Top Ten win! “We had a great time at Nationals this year! It was so exciting to be a part of the Vallejo group, and owning a horse that was showing was a thrill!! We are ecstatic with Jewel’s Top Ten win and are looking forward to the Scottsdale show!”

Jessie Szymanski and her Dad, Frank, also enjoyed a successful 2010 Nationals as both their western horse, Smokin N Havana, and their halter mare, Desiree BHF, garnered success. Havana and Jessie teamed up in the Half-Arabian Western Pleasure AAOTR 18-39 class and in the final had a fantastic ride while earning a Top Ten in the competitive class. Jessie sums it up by saying, “Going Top Ten was exciting! It was my first Top Ten with Havana and we had a great ride in the Finals!! I am so proud of her!” Bob Hart and Havana earned a Top Ten as well in the Half-Arabian Western Pleasure Junior Horse class, a great feat for a young four-year-old! Jessie finished the show off with a Top Ten in the Purebred Arabian Mare Amateur Owner to handle class with Desiree BHF. Jessie is extremely excited about this mare’s future in the ring and as a broodmare. She is currently in foal to Eden C, and Jessie and Frank are anxiously awaiting the arrival! Frank and Jessie had a “great time meeting and hanging out with all of the Vallejo clients! We are looking forward to seeing everyone again soon!”
Trent Trahan, owner of multi-National Champion, Vallejo Zipin Moon+// ended the year on a high note as well. Trent and Zipin started the year off in Scottsdale with a Reserve Championship, and at US Nationals, the pair earned a well-deserved Top Ten in the Half-Arabian Western Pleasure AAOTR 40 and over class! This is Trent’s first National Top Ten on Zipin and we are very proud of their accomplishment! “This year’s Nationals was both a learning and sharing experience. I grew interpersonally with Vallejo III clients and with Bob. All of which helped me compete more successfully with Vallejo Zipin Moon+//. The best part of the whole thing was being able to share the wins with my family: Paula, Trent Lee and Mariah.” Trainer Bob Hart and Zipin earned a Top Ten in the Half-Arabian Western Pleasure Open class that was a test of skill and precision as riders and horses were asked to demonstrate a series of tough maneuvers and gate changes, all done with precision and a high degree of technical difficulty.
Patti Sterling attended her first US Nationals in over twenty years and was ecstatic with her mare, Zips Moonstorm’s performance in the Half-Arabian Western Pleasure Futurity as she earned a Top Ten. Patti’s enthusiasm was evident during the time she was at the show and as she put it, “I had an amazing time with the Vallejo group at Nationals. They did an outstanding job in preparing the horses for their classes! The stable area was so comfortable it was tough sometimes to head to the arena! I also enjoyed spending time with the Vallejo clients from all over the US, it was as much fun as watching Bob ride my filly to a Top Ten in her class. For my first Nationals as an owner, I had an incredible experience! One that will only be topped by my riding Zips next year!” We are all looking forward to Patti’s debut into the show ring in 2011!
Vallejo Moon Beam+/, owned by Audrey Hart, earned a Top Ten in both the Purebred Western Pleasure AAOTR 18-39 with Audrey riding, as well as a well-deserved Top Ten in the Purebred Western Pleasure Open with Bob Hart riding. Audrey and Moon Beam made it look easy in both of their classes, and with Beamer’s long mane and tail, and Audrey’s sparkling outfit, the pair could not be missed and were the subject of an article in the Tulsa World issue on October 28th, entitled “Four-Legged Fitness.” Audrey is looking forward to the 2011 show season where she will begin showing Moon Beam’s full sister, VallejoBejeweledMoon in Arabian Western Pleasure with the US Nationals Western Pleasure Maturity championship as their final destination!
Not only were the Vallejo III, Inc. trained horses successful in the western pleasure rings, but in the working western classes as well. Vallejo had horses successfully exhibited in the reining and working cow divisions.
In the Half-Arabian Reining Futurity, TR Cockadoodledoo, owned by Kathie Hart, was Top Ten with Crystal McNutt-Brock riding. In addition to “Rooster’s” success at US Nationals, he was Top Ten at Canadian Nationals in the Half-Arabian Reining Open division with Kathie Hart guiding him to the win. Rooster will be campaigned in the open and amateur division next year beginning at the Scottsdale show!
Jan Senneker’s Purebred gelding, Noble Indeed was Top Ten in the Purebred Working Cow Futurity. Jan was thrilled with Noble’s gritty performance and as Jan commented, “They made lemonade out of lemons!” when the cow they drew wasn’t a prime candidate. We were all very proud of Noble’s effort and how much he has improved over the last year of his training!
KK Chics Patriot, owned by Vallejo III, Inc. and Vallejo Cylebrity+, owned by Kathie Hart, were the stars of the Working Cow arena as they both worked their way to double National Championships!
KK Chics Patriot, purchased by Vallejo III, Inc. in June from Wolf Point Ranch, earned the title of National Champion in the Half-Arabian Working Cow Open with Bob Hart riding, and Half-Arabian Working Cow Amateur, with Audrey Hart riding! Chic is now in training with Crystal McNutt-Brock as a reining horse, and available for purchase to someone who is a serious competitor in the working cow or reining divisions.
Vallejo Cylebrity+ continued his October dominance of the Purebred Working Cow Amateur division by winning it for the third consecutive year. This year, Audrey Hart teamed up with Cylebrity for the honor! In the Open division, Vallejo Cylebrity and Bob Hart were heads and tails above the competition as they won the title of National Champion.
For some, coming to Nationals and simply making their cuts to the finals, or having rides where “everything clicked” was just as rewarding as the prize itself as they looked back on how far they had come during the year.
In her first year of showing, Bobbi Stuckenhoff and her home bred filly, Princess Raves, were finalists in the Purebred AAOTR Select Rider division. As Bobbi states, “After years of watching our horses being shown I finally decided to give it a try. I made the decision last year at Nationals and never imagined that I'd be riding at Nationals this year. Jumping straight into Scottsdale last February was a bit breathtaking, but I had a great time. You could count on one hand the number of times I've ridden in a horse show. Qualified for Nationals? Really?! The most amazing part is the wonderful support from everyone at Vallejo. During each class I rode I had coaches stationed around the ring that helped talk me thru it, the value of which can't be overrated, especially for a newbie. You know, while watching from the stands a western pleasure class goes soooo slooooooowlyyyyyy. How can it be that it all seems to be happening at lightening speed when you're in the ring? Anyway, after that first ride (that I hesitate to even lay claim to) every single amateur in the barn came up to me with compliments on the good parts, and empathy for the hard parts. They've all been thru it, too, which is perspective that helped me out a lot. I have a huge desire to ride my horse well, to place well, to show that I can do it, but all the good teaching and wonderful support in the Vallejo barn (from the stall help and grooms, to the head trainer, and all the other amateurs - - every person in that barn) are what makes me want to come back to do it again.” During the National show, Princess Raves was purchased by Henry and Lian Roche and will continue her performance training at Vallejo III, Inc. This spring Princess will be bred to the Roche’s young stallion, Sunstorrmm, and along with Bobbi, we are all excited about her future!
Ron Rash rode his new gelding Phenominal Raves at Nationals and was ecstatic with the progress the four-year-old made in his short amount of training. Ron purchased Raves in March from Bobbi Stuckenhoff and since beginning to ride at Vallejo, he states that he “has learned more since being here than he ever did before!” Back at the barn after his last ride in the ring, Ron’s smile said it all, “I will never forget that feeling! My horse was great and did anything I asked him to do! Six months ago, there is no way I would have felt that calm and confident riding at Nationals! I feel like I just won the class!!” Ron is anxiously waiting for the 2011 show season, where he and Raves will start the year in Scottsdale. He is looking forward to building on the foundation of knowledge that he has gained this past year and creating more rides like those at Nationals.
Long time horse exhibitor Sharon Stathopoulos and her husband Frank attended the show as clients of Vallejo III, Inc. with their purebred gelding, Foremost MPA. Sharon left the show feeling as though she had learned more than ever before while making great strides in her riding and show ring presentation. Along with her friend Pene Mauer, Sharon could be found intently watching every western class that went in the ring, with the goal of learning as much as possible. As Frank states, “We have been doing this for 37 years and Vallejo III, Inc. and Bob Hart, Jr are the best! They have the best clients; everyone gets along and is so supportive of each other. The whole operation is incredibly organized and we never had to worry about anything.” We are proud of Sharon’s willingness to learn, and enjoy having them part of the Vallejo III, Inc. show team immensely. We are all also very grateful for Penny’s skills in making cheesecake and a big “Thank you!” to her for the incredible cheesecake she made us!
Dana Lockhart, who attended the show with her daughter Sarah, had the time of her life! “This was our best experience ever at a show! Being surrounded by all of the clients at Vallejo, while continuing to learn from them and by watching was a blast! The strong support system that the Vallejo III Inc. team gives you is incredible; the camaraderie and friendship that has grown among us all is bar none and we can’t imagine being anywhere else! The ten days we were there were filled with excitement as we watched horses from the barn in the show ring! It was a thrill for all of us to join in the victory pictures and we are proud to be a part of the team! Sarah and I are looking forward to the 2011 show season and are counting down the days until we can see everyone in Scottsdale!”
As US Nationals came to its’ conclusion, we were all reminded of the year that has passed and all the great moments that will be with us forever. Success on any level takes a team effort, and the entire Vallejo III Inc. team feels very privileged to have the strong clientele that has made the 2010 show season so great. We are fortunate to have clients that are outstanding in every way, and welcome all newcomers with open arms! We can’t wait to get started on the 2011 show season, and judging by the young upcoming horses and the enthusiastic involvement of all the clients, 2011 promises to be just as rewarding as this past show season has been!

The opening ceremonies are on September 25th and will be aired on NBC from 7pm – 9pm Eastern Standard Time. Please tune in and experience the excitement of this spectacular event.
Vallejo III Inc’s Summer of Success In and Out of The Show Ring!!
The 2010 summer show season was in full swing as the Vallejo III, Inc show team competed at three different regional shows. We started off in Fort Worth, Texas for Region 9, then headed north to Indianapolis, Indiana for the Region 13 show, and then ended our swing with a stop in Springfield, Illinois for Region 11. We were very pleased with the success of all of the horses shown and it was gratifying to see improvement in all of our amateurs as well.
At Region 9, the Vallejo III Inc trained horses showed diversity and were successful in the working cow, western and hunter pleasure classes. Wolf Point Ranch, owned by Al and Dianna Stanger of Port Lavaca, Texas, enjoyed a successful show in multiple divisions as four of their horses brought home ribbons. KK Chics Patriot was Reserve Champion in the Half-Arabian Working Cow class with Bob Hart, Jr riding. Chic is consistently exceeding his previous best scores and has his sights set on US Nationals in October. Nakita WP and Kiera Robinson earned a Top Five in the competitive Purebred Hunter Pleasure Junior Horse class. Nakita is blossoming into a steady competitor and with each trip out, gains more and more confidence. Al and Dianna also found success in the halter ring with trainer Kim Morgan of Texas. Their Brazilian National Champion Stallion, *Bahir MFS was Top Five in the Purebred Stallion Championship, while the beautiful mare, Amazing Grace WP earned a Top Five in the Purebred Mare Championship. The Wolf Point Ranch horses are all proving to be well-rounded athletes as they find success in both the halter and performance rings.
Three Vallejo III, Inc bred horses found success in both the pleasure and working cow classes. Vallejo Zipinmoon+//, owned by Trent Trahan, was Top Five in the Half-Arabian Western Pleasure Open Championship, while Vallejo Moon Beam+/, owned by Audrey Hart, was Top Five in the Purebred Western Pleasure Open Championship. Both Western Pleasure Open Championships were the deepest and most competitive classes of the show with a large number of the entries strong contenders at US Nationals. Not to be outdone, Vallejo Cylebrity+, owned by Kathie Hart, was Top Five with Bob Hart in the Purebred Working Cow Open Championship. Cylebrity’s next stop will be US Nationals in October where he will compete for the Open Championship with Bob Hart and Amateur Championship with Audrey Hart.
After having a week at home following the Region 9 show, we headed out on a two-week excursion with Indianapolis, Indiana as our first stop. Once again, the Vallejo III, Inc team found success in multiple divisions.
There was a Pre-Show held for the first time this year that we took advantage of by competing with three horses and all three were successful. Amateur Ron Rash was looking to qualify his new western horse, the four-year old Phenominal Raves, in the Purebred Western Pleasure Select Rider class. Under a two-judge system, Ron and Raves teamed up to earn a first and second place and qualified for the Region 13 show.
Sunstormm, a three-year old purebred stallion that was recently purchased from Vallejo III, Inc by Henry and Lian Roche, competed in his first show in preparation for the US National Futurity. Sunstormm, by Sundance Kid V and out of Ice Storm TC, a Rohara Moon Storm+// daughter, lived up to our expectations for his first class, as he won two second place finishes in the Purebred Western Pleasure Junior Horse class. This success has everyone excited about his bright future both as a show horse and a breeding stallion.
Kathie Hart and new Half-Arabian Reining Horse, TR Cockadoodledoo, placed first in the Half-Arabian Reining Open class under both judges, qualifying them to compete in both the open and amateur class in the Regional show.
Bob Hart and Smokin N Havana, owned by Jessie Szymanski, started the Regional show off by earning a Top Five in the Half-Arabian Western Pleasure Junior Horse division. Havana and Jessie, showing for the first time since Scottsdale, teamed up for a Reserve Championship in the Half-Arabian Western Pleasure AAOTR 18-39 class and then finished the show with a Top Five (Third Overall) in the ultra competitive Half-Arabian Western Pleasure AATR class, which included many previous National winners.
Wolf Point Ranch’s Nakita WP and Kiera Robinson teamed up to win Reserve Champion in the Purebred Hunter Pleasure Junior Horse Championship. We are proud of the progress that Nakita has made and believe she has a bright future ahead of her! With her fluid motion and striking appearance, she is ready to take any amateur or youth rider to the winner’s circle!
Stonehill Farm’s beautiful mare, Sahara Jewel V, was Regional Champion in the Purebred Western Pleasure Junior Horse Class with Bob Hart Jr riding. Jewel has her sights set on US Nationals in the fall and has first time owners, Larry and Carol Smith, extremely excited about their new adventure into the Arabian show world.
Kathie Hart and TR Cockadoodledoo slid and spun their way to Regional Championships in both the Half-Arabian Open Reining and Half-Arabian Amateur Reining classes. The more time Kathie and Rooster spend learning one another, the higher their confidence gets with each trip out.
Ron Rash and Phenominal Raves continue to mesh as a team and gained a Top Five in the Purebred Western Pleasure AOTR Select Rider Championship. This was a thrill for both Ron and his wife Becky as it was the young four-year old Raves’ first Top Five at only his fourth show. We are all excited to see what the future holds for this pair!!
In the Open Western Pleasure division, Bob Hart rode Link To Fame+, owned by Diane Powers and Brent Gilman, in the Purebred Class and Vallejo Zipinmoon+//, owned by Trent Trahan, in the Half-Arabian class. Both horses continued their standard of winning as they added another Regional Championship to their long list of achievements.
At the completion of the Region 13 show, we packed up and headed west to Springfield, Illinois for the Region 11 Championship. In Springfield we enjoyed much cooler temperatures and again garnered many championships.
Jessie Szymanski and Smokin N Havana were named Reserve Champion in the Half-Arabian Western AAOTR 18-39 Championship and are looking forward to competing at Nationals in the Amateur class as well as the Half-Arabian Western Pleasure AAOTR Maturity Championship. It is exciting to watch Jessie’s hard work and talent pay off with beautiful rides and much-deserved wins! Not only did Havana do well in the amateur division, but she was unanimous champion in the Half-Arabian Junior Horse class with Bob Hart as well. Havana is living up to her name and has definitely been “smokin” this summer!
Ron Rash ventured to Springfield and picked up where he left off in Indianapolis. Ron and Phenominal Raves were Top Five yet again in the Purebred Arabian Western Pleasure AOTR Select Rider Championship. Ron and Raves will compete in the Select Rider Championship class at US Nationals and assistant trainer Kiera Robinson and Raves will compete in the Purebred Western Pleasure Junior Horse Championship. Raves is maturing into everything Ron could have asked for and Ron is looking forward to what the future will bring for both of them!
Sahara Jewel V was again a strong competitor as she garnered a Reserve Championship in the Purebred Arabian Western Pleasure Junior Horse class. Jewel will compete in the Junior Horse Championship at US Nationals with Bob Hart. Owners Larry and Carol Smith are excited about attending their first Nationals as owners, and are proud to own such a beautiful and talented mare!
Link to Fame+ teamed up with Bob Hart to win the Purebred Western Pleasure Open Championship. Link will compete at US Nationals in the Purebred Western Pleasure AAOTR 55 and over class with Brent Gilman. After their success in Scottsdale, where the pair won a Unanimous Championship as well as a Reserve Championship, we are all looking forward to watching the pair compete this fall!
Vallejo Zipinmoon+// and Bob Hart were once again unanimous Champion in the Half-Arabian Western Pleasure Open class. Zipin and owner Trent Trahan will be teaming up for the Half-Arabian Western Pleasure AAOTR 40 and over Championship at the US Nationals. Trent and Zipin were Reserve Scottsdale Champion in the amateur division and we are excited to see the pair come together again at US Nationals! Zipin and Bob Hart, who were Reserve National Champions in the Half-Arabian Western Pleasure Open class in 2009, will set their sights on the National Championship this year!
Kathie Hart and TR Cockadoodledoo, “Rooster”, again found success in the reining division. The pair continued to reach new heights and were named Regional Champion in both the Half-Arabian Open and Half-Arabian Reining divisions. Kathie and Rooster are heading to Canadian Nationals in August where the pair will compete in the Amateur reining class. Trainer Crystal McNutt will show Rooster as well in the Half-Arabian Open Reining Championship. Rooster will have a busy fall, as he will finish the year at US Nationals competing with both Kathie and Crystal. Although the reining is a new division for Kathie to compete in, it is proving to be an addicting and fun adventure!
Audrey Hart and Vallejo Moon Beam+/ were once again at the top of their game as they started out the show by winning the largest class of the show, the 25-horse Purebred Arabian Western Pleasure AATR Championship. The next morning, they completed their sweep by winning the Purebred Arabian Western Pleasure AAOTR 18-39 Championship. With Beamer’s extraordinarily long tail and flashy mane and Audrey’s white and gold jacket that sparkles even in the lowest of light settings, the pair stood out and proved to be a strong contender for the National Championship in October. Beamer will also compete with Bob Hart in the Open Championship at Nationals, but we are sure we can’t get anything other than a plain white shirt on Bob!
We were ecstatic with the results of our three regional shows and very excited about the enthusiasm shown by all of our clients and amateurs. Dana and Sarah Lockhart attended all three regional shows to soak up the atmosphere and learn all they could. Sarah was able to take many lessons on her new western horse Cinderella Mann and with each ride gained more and more confidence! Bobbi Stuckenhoff and Max Torbert made the trip to Indianapolis from Wyoming; in between watching the World Cup Soccer games and the show, we enjoyed being able to spend time with them as well. Ron Rash attended both Region 13 and Region 11, each time bringing a new cheering squad. For the trip to Region 13, his wife Becky came, and to Region 11, his good friend Tommy joined him. Becky was, as always, a great entertainer and a lot of fun to spend time with! We all enjoyed getting to meet Tommy and can tell he fills in well for Bob during Ron’s practice time at home! Jessie Szymanski and her Dad, Frank, were at Region 13 and although he didn’t win the margarita contest, we have heard that his were some of the best around! Jessie brought her Aunt to Region 11 and with the success that Jessie had in the show ring, we are sure that both her Dad and Aunt enjoyed every minute of it! Although our focus was the show ring, we were also able to form a deeper relationship with all of our clients that attended the show and a great camaraderie was formed amongst everyone! It was very rewarding for all of us to watch the relationships and friendships grow, and everyone was very supportive of one another in and out of the show ring! That is what it is all about!
Not only did the Vallejo III, Inc team have a successful summer in the show ring, but in the marketing area as well. We would like to congratulate all of the new owners, as well as the sellers, of these great horses!
Vallejo III, Inc sold the beautiful and talented three-year-old stallion Sunstormm, to Henry and Lian Roche of Kendal, Ontario. Sunstormm’s future looks to be bright in both the breeding and performance ring, and we are pleased to welcome the Roche family to the Vallejo team!
Bart, Dana and Brooke Coffey purchased the three-year-old gelding, Vallenatos SMP from Vallejo III, Inc. They picked up Val in Springfield, Illinois and have been thrilled with him since getting him home! They are all very excited about his potential and can’t wait until he is ready for the show ring!
Patti Sterling of Los Angeles, CA purchased the Half-Arabian mare Zips Moonstorm, from Vallejo III, Inc. Zips will compete in the 2010 Half-Arabian Western Pleasure Futurity with Bob Hart before being Patti’s new amateur horse next show season. After a long break, Patti is excited to get back in the show ring and we are happy to be the ones to usher her back in!
Vallejo III, Inc purchased the Half-Arabian Working Cow horse, KK Chics Patriot from Wolf Point Ranch. Chic will continue to compete in the open working cow horse division and is more than ready to take an amateur or youth to the winner’s circle!
Aside from the Rohara Moon Storm+// get that Vallejo III Inc has shown to championships this summer season, we would like to congratulate all of those who are showing horses by Moon Storm and finding success. Kim Jenkner and her Half-Arabian gelding Moondoggie+// have enjoyed a very successful show season and this summer he continued to add to his achievements. He competed in both the Region 10 and Region 13 Championship shows, and garnered five championships (three unanimous) and four Reserve Championships. Like all of Moon Storm’s babies, Moondoggie+// showed great versatility and a willing attitude while winning in the open, amateur, walk trot and sidesaddle division. It is always gratifying to see those enjoying their horses that are by a stallion that you believe in so much, and we would like to congratulate all of those involved!
With the summer show season coming to an end, we are enjoying spending time at home with the young horses and looking forward to the fall where we can all come together at Nationals and continue to make memories!

NIAHAC MAY II SHOW 2010
Springfield, Illinois
With the goal of qualifying for Region 11 in July, the Vallejo III, Inc. show team headed to the NIAHAC May II Show held in Springfield, Illinois. The Illinois State Fairgrounds has long been a favorite place of Vallejo III, Inc. to show their horses; from the brick barns with large comfortable stalls for the horses, to the large show arena, the Fairgrounds has undeniable character and charm.
Ron and Becky Rash of Lynchburg, Virginia made the trip to Springfield, Illinois and enjoyed more than just the horse show. As avid learners in all aspects of life, they took the opportunity while in Springfield to visit Abraham Lincoln’s Presidential Library and Museum. After the educational field trip, it was time to get down to business for Ron as he prepared to show his new western horse, Phenominal Raves, for the first time. After getting the jitters out, Ron and Raves placed third in a tough Purebred Western Pleasure Amateur 40 and over class. They topped off the show by winning Reserve Champion in the Amateur Championship. Not only did Raves find success in the amateur division, he also placed second in the Purebred Western Pleasure Limit horse class with Bob Hart. Ron’s enthusiasm and willingness to learn has been a great addition to the Vallejo III, Inc show team; the time Ron has spent at home practicing with his horse, “KB”, is proving to be an invaluable tool for him as he learns the “Vallejo” way of riding. Ron and Raves make a great team and we all look forward to watching them compete at Region 11 and 13 this summer in the Western Pleasure Select Rider class. Their year end goal is US Nationals in October where the pair will compete in the Select Rider class, as well as the Amateur Maturity Championship; by that time, KB will be glad to see Ron go for a few weeks!!
Stonehill Farms’, Sahara Jewel V, once again was a winner in the Purebred Western Pleasure Junior Horse class with Bob Hart. Jewel will be shown this summer at Region 9, 11 and 13 before heading to Nationals with Bob Hart.
Smokin N Havana, owned by Jessie Szymanski, earned a first place in the Half-Arabian Western Pleasure Junior Horse class with trainer Bob Hart. Havana will have a busy show schedule this summer with both Bob and Jessie showing her at Region 11 and 13.
Wolf Point Ranch and Dianna Stanger had two pleasure horses attend the show. My Belle Amie WP came away with a blue ribbon the Half-Arabian Western Pleasure Limit Horse class with Bob Hart. Nakita WP and assistant trainer, Kiera Robinson, accomplished their main objective for the show by qualifying for Region 11 in the Purebred Hunter Pleasure Junior Horse class. Nakita continues to improve and gain confidence each time out and is ready to carry an amateur or youth rider to the winner’s circle.
Vallejo Zipinmoon+// and Bob Hart used the show as a schooling opportunity in preparation for their Regional schedule and came away with the Reserve Championship in the Half-Arabian Western Pleasure Open Championship. Zipin is owned by long time Vallejo client, Trent Trahan of Champlain, New York.
Kathie Hart showed TR Cockadoodledoo to wins in both the Half-Arabian Reining Open and Amateur division. “Rooster” and Kathie’s next destination will be Region 13 in Indianapolis, Indiana. The pair will compete at Canadian Nationals as well as US Nationals in the amateur division, while Rooster will be campaigned in the Futurity Reining division with reining trainer, Crystal McNutt.
Audrey Hart showed Vallejo Moon Beam+ to wins in both the Purebred Western Pleasure Geldings class, as well as the Purebred Western Pleasure Adult Amateur 18-39 class. Audrey and Beamer will next show at Region 11 in the Amateur division, while Beamer will compete in the Open division with Bob Hart at Region 9 and 11.
We all felt as though our goals were accomplished at this show and everyone is looking forward to what the summer show season will bring. We were thrilled to watch Ron have fun with Raves and know he and KB have been working hard at home in preparation for Ron’s next show ring adventure!!

Green Country Arabian Horse Classic
Tulsa, Oklahoma
The Green Country Arabian Horse Classic was held at the Fairgrounds in Tulsa, Oklahoma May 6-9. Vallejo III, Inc trained horses were shown in a variety of classes; from working cow, to hunter and western pleasure, horses and amateurs experienced success.
The show began Thursday in the Mustang Arena with the working cow division. The classes are fast paced and adrenaline filled as the horse and rider work together to exhibit control over one cow in the arena. Although it may sound simple, it takes an athletic, talented and well-trained horse to make it look easy. Bob Hart showed Noble Indeed, owned by Jim and Jan Senneker, in the Purebred Junior Horse division. Noble, in his second year of training as a working cow horse, showed a new level of confidence as he earned a first place finish in the qualifying class and then finished the day by winning the Purebred Working Cow Junior Horse Championship. KK Chics Patriot, owned by Wolf Point Ranch, was shown by Bob Hart in the Half-Arabian division and is proving that cow sense does run in the family. As a grandson of the great quarter horse stallion, Smart Chic Olena, Patriot was first in the qualifying class before earning Champion in the Half-Arabian Working Cow Horse Open Championship. Vallejo Cylebrity+, owned by Kathie Hart, had a busy day, as he was shown by Kathie in the Purebred Reined Cow Horse classes and then later by Bob Hart in the Purebred Working Cow division. The Reined Cow Horse division requires the participants to do a reining pattern before calling for the cow and doing the working cow portion of the class. This class requires an athletic and versatile horse and that aptly describes Cylebrity. Kathie and Cylebrity teamed up for a second place finish in the Amateur Reined Cow Horse Class and a fourth place in the Open Reined Cow Horse Class. After a short rest, Cylebrity came back to team up with Bob in the Working Cow classes where he finished third in the qualifying class as well as third in the Working Cow Horse Open Championship. ‘
Friday the show moved to the Ford Truck Arena, where once again, the Vallejo team was successful in both the amateur and open divisions. After a few sleepless nights and a lot of built up excitement, Sarah Lockhart of Fort Smith, Arkansas showed her new horse, Cinderella Mann, for the first time and had a blast! The pair earned a first place finish in the Adult Walk Trot class. Sarah was immediately hooked! She was thrilled with the class and is anxiously awaiting the end of school so she can come to the barn to practice for the next show! Cinderella Mann was also shown in the Open division by Bob Hart and Kiera Robinson, earning first place finishes in the Half-Arabian Junior Horse with Kiera Robinson and Limit Horse with Bob Hart. Cinderella Mann and Kiera then finished the show by earning a Reserve Championship in the Half-Arabian Western Pleasure Junior Horse class.
Kim McAferty from Olympia, Washington and LVF Elektra earned three first place finishes and a third place in the Purebred Western Pleasure Amateur classes. This was Kim’s first time to ride Elektra. She enjoyed having the chance to ride one of her homebred kids. Bob Hart showed Elektra in the Purebred Western Pleasure Novice horse class and earned a first place finish as well.
Audrey Hart and Vallejo Moon Beam+/ made it look easy as they teamed up to win the Purebred Western Pleasure Open class. The pair is fine-tuning in preparation for their summer Regional schedule with US Nationals in October as their final destination!
Kathie Hart began her new adventure in the reining division with her new Half Arabian, TR Cockadoodledoo. The pair slid and spun their way to first place finishes in both the open and amateur divisions.
Phenominal Raves, owned by Ron and Becky Rash and Marcus Rich, continued to mature and develop in his second show while being shown to a first place finish in Purebred Western Pleasure Limit Horse by Kiera Robinson. Raves then won the Purebred Western Pleasure Open Championship with Bob Hart. Raves progress has Ron and Becky very excited. We are all anxiously awaiting Ron’s debut with Raves in the amateur division!
The beautiful Sahara Jewel V, owned by Stonehill Farms, was shown to a first place finish in the Purebred Western Pleasure Junior Horse class by Kiera Robinson. Larry and Carol Smith along with their grandson’s, Alex and Corbin Walls, were in the stands to watch Jewel show. After the classes they were at the stalls loving on her! Corbin loved spending time with the horses; especially sitting on them as they ate their hay, while Alex feels that his future would be strictly as an owner on the sidelines.
Bob Hart and Vallejo Zipinmoon+// teamed up to win the Half-Arabian Western Pleasure Open class. Zipin, owned by Trent Trahan of Champlain, New York will be shown this summer at various Regional shows and later in the fall at US Nationals by Trent in the Amateur division and Bob in the Open division.
Wolf Point Ranch and Dianna Stanger had three pleasure horses shown. Each came away with championships. Nakita WP and Kiera Robinson teamed up for first place finishes in the Purebred Hunter Pleasure Limit horse and Purebred Hunter Pleasure Open classes before winning the Purebred Hunter Pleasure Open Championship. Both Bob Hart and Kiera Robinson showed My Belle Amie WP. Kiera and Belle teamed up for a first place finish in the Half-Arabian Western Pleasure Limit Horse class while Belle and Bob teamed up to win the Half-Arabian Western Pleasure Junior Horse Championship. Navigator WP and Bob Hart earned a second place in the Purebred Western Pleasure Junior Horse class and then capped off the show by winning the Purebred Western Pleasure Junior Horse Championship.
The show was deemed a success not only in the sense of winning ribbons, but also by seeing our amateurs have fun and enjoy their horses. One could not help but share in Sarah’s excitement as she showed her new horse for the first time as well as Kim’s enjoyment in riding her homebred mare. Both created a new sense of enthusiasm in the barn. We all look forward to creating more moments like those; that after all, is what it is all about!!

Vallejo III to represent the Arabian Industry at Alltech FEI Equestrian Games.

The prestigious Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games is normally held in Europe, but for the first time in history, it is coming to America! Starting on September 25th, 2010, Lexington, Kentucky will play host to the World Games at the Kentucky Horse Park. In the past the World Games have been held in Germany, Spain, Italy, Netherlands and Sweden. During the Games, which last sixteen days, equine athletes from all over the world will compete in eight different events for the honor of being world champion. Much like the Olympics, the World Games are held every four years and feature individual and team competitions in events such as Dressage, Driving, Endurance, Eventing, Jumping, Para Dressage, Reining and Vaulting.
According to the Alltech Games website, as many as 600 performers and 200 horses could be involved in the Open Ceremony production; including a 100 piece orchestra, 300 person choir and hundreds of adults and children, marching bands, armed forces performing ensemble, local and international celebrities and dignitaries are likely to be involved. Jamie Link, CEO of the World Games 2010 Foundation states that “Our Opening Ceremonies will set the tone for the sixteen days of world class competition. These Games will be the largest sporting event in America in 2010 and we hope to stage an Opening Ceremony that reflects the magnitude of the event on Kentucky, America and the Equestrian World.”

Bob and Kathie Hart of Vallejo III, along with other Arabian trainers and breeders, have been asked to represent the Arabian breed in the opening ceremonies. They consider it an honor to be invited and are proud to be taking three nationally known Western Pleasure horses with them; Link to Fame, Vallejo Moon Beam+/ and WN Knight Rider+//.
Link to Fame is by nationally known sire *Fame VF and is owned by Diane Powers and Brent Gilman of Spring Valley, California. Link has been a consistent winner in the Arabian Western Pleasure division; winning two National Championships, two Reserve National Championships, many National Top Ten Awards, as well as numerous Regional Championships in both the open and amateur division.
Vallejo Moon Beam+/ was bred by Kathie Hart and is owned by Audrey Hart. Moon Beam has won one National Championship as well as numerous Top Ten awards and multiple Regional Championships.
WN Knight Rider+// is owned by Vallejo III, Inc. Knight Rider+//, “Kit”, was the epitome of an Arabian Western Pleasure horse; willing and smooth gaited while winning nine National Championships, six Reserve National Championships, seven National Top Ten Awards and numerous Regional Championships. Now retired, Kit enjoys being spoiled by everyone and giving the occasional “pony ride” to kids who visit the farm!

All three of these horses are fantastic representatives of the Arabian breed and without a doubt will be great ambassadors for the breed at the World Games.
Needless to say, the Opening Ceremonies will be a grand production and for Bob and Kathie Hart, it will be the chance of a lifetime to be a part of something so monumental. They invite all Arabian enthusiasts to be a part of history and attend the World Equestrian Games. It will no doubt be a historic event and one that will create memories for a lifetime.

Indiana All Arabian Show
After having the month of March off from the show ring the Vallejo III Inc. show team hit the road and headed to Cloverdale, Indiana for the Indiana All Arabian Show to qualify for Region 13. It was a great show for our amateurs as well as the open horses; there were seasoned horses to qualify as well as new young horses that needed to start gaining show experience.

As a continuation of last year, Bob Hart started the show off by putting on a clinic for the Indiana Arabian Youth Association, who extended an invitation to all those attending the show to participate. Bob brought two full siblings, Princess Raves who is owned by Bobbi Stuckenhoff and Phenominal Raves who is owned by Ron and Becky Rash, out and compared the similarities and differences in their confirmation. To help drive home his stand on how important good confirmation and overall balance is, Bob handed out copies of recent x-rays of two different horses and discussed the pros and cons of each one. After the confirmation segment Bob and Link to Fame, owned by Diane Powers and Brent Gilman, did a riding demonstration and talk on how to show your horse and the advantages of preparing for the class before riding through the gate. Bob enjoyed the interaction with those involved and was pleased with the questions that the participants had, noting that they showed a high level of overall understanding as well as a keen interest in educating themselves! He would like to thank the youth group for inviting him to be the clinician and for the participation of all those that attended!

After the clinic, it was time to get down to business and show!
Wolf Point Ranch had three horses make the trip and all three came home with blue ribbons. Nakita WP continued to make great improvements in the hunter division where she and assistant trainer Kiera Robinson won the Purebred Hunter Pleasure Open class, were second in Purebred Hunter Pleasure Junior Horse, as well as second in the largest class of the show, Purebred Hunter Pleasure Ladies to ride. Navigator WP and Bob Hart teamed up to win the Purebred Western Pleasure Gentlemen to ride and were second in the Purebred Western Pleasure Junior Horse. My Belle Amie WP earned two first place finishes in Half-Arabian Western Pleasure novice horse with Bob Hart riding and Half-Arabian Western Pleasure Limit Horse with Kiera Robinson riding; Belle and Kiera were also second in the Half-Arabian Western Pleasure Junior Horse Class.

Ron and Becky Rash attended the show as the proud new owners of the four-year-old purebred gelding Phenominal Raves who was making his show ring debut. Raves showed great potential while taking everything in stride and gaining confidence with each class. He and Kiera Robinson were second in the Purebred Western Pleasure Ladies to ride, third in the Purebred Western Pleasure Open and then finished the show by winning the Purebred Western Pleasure Limit Horse class. Ron and Becky were ecstatic with the progress that Raves made and were thrilled to get to spend time making new friends!

Dana and Sarah Lockhart’s new Half-Arabian gelding Cinderella Mann attended the show and earned a second place in the Half-Arabian Western Pleasure Novice horse with Kiera Robinson riding as well as the Half-Arabian Western Pleasure Limit horse with Bob Hart riding. Bob and Cinderella Mann then paired up to win the Half-Arabian Western Pleasure Junior horse!
Link to Fame won the Purebred Western Pleasure Open Class and was part of Bob’s clinic for the Youth group. Link showed his high level of training and intensity as Bob unsnapped the reins and maneuvered him all around using strictly his legs and seat. It was very educational for the spectators who were simply in awe!
Princess Raves and owner Bobbi Stuckenhoff continued to gain confidence in the show ring and earned a second place in Purebred Western Pleasure Adult Amateur to ride and third in Purebred Western Pleasure Adult Amateur Owner to Ride. This was very exciting for Bobbi as she qualified for both Region 13 and Nationals, where they will compete in the Select Rider championships. Princess and Kiera Robinson also teamed up to win the Purebred Western Pleasure Junior Horse Class!+

Goal oriented amateur Trent Trahan and Vallejo Zipinmoon+// accomplished their goals for the weekend as well by qualifying for Region 13. The pair was second in Half-Arabian Western Pleasure Amateur to Ride and then earned a first place in the Half-Arabian Western Pleasure Adult Amateur Owner to Ride. Bob Hart and Zipin were first in the Half-Arabian Western Pleasure Open as well.
We left the show feeling like it was a very successful weekend, not just in the show ring but having the chance to interact with the youth and others attending the show was very satisfying. We also enjoyed being able to spend time with our clients. It was great that they were able to attend the show and support each other and their horses. The camaraderie that our clients have with one another makes the shows fun to attend and we all leave the shows excited for our next chance to see one another again!!
Vallejo III Inc. would like to thank show photographer Rob Stokes for the use of his pictures from the clinic, we really appreciate it! To view more of Rob’s pictures from the show, visit his website! www.rstokesphoto.com

SCOTTSDALE 2010
When every winter season comes around, we all count down the days until we leave for Arizona in February for the Scottsdale All-Arabian Show. This year we were fortunate enough to have warm and sunny weather for much of the show. The competition was strong as usual; each class having it’s own superstars and excitement.
Coming into the show, Vallejo had a solid group of amateurs showing. As the show progressed, each amateur rose to the occasion, and finished the show on a high note: each reaching a new personal best.
Brent Gilman and Link To Fame+ continued to come together as a team. The duo combined to win the Purebred Western Pleasure AAOTR 55 and over unanimously, and then the last weekend of the show, finished strong with a unanimous championship in the Purebred Arabian Western Pleasure AATR 40 and over, as well as a reserve championship in Purebred Arabian Western Pleasure AAOTR 55 and over. Making the unanimous championship win more meaningful, Brent’s wife, Diane Powers, rode her mare, Mademoiselle GA, to a top ten as well. Not to be outdone, trainer Bob Hart, rode Link to a third place in a tough Western Pleasure Stallions class.
Trent Trahan and Vallejo Zipnmoon+/ made continued improvements, and finished the week strong, earning a top ten in the Half-Arabian Western Pleasure AAOTR 55 and over and a reserve championship in Half-Arabian Western Pleasure AATR 40 and over, on the last day of the show. In addition to his success in the amateur classes, Zipn also earned a second place in Half-Arabian Western Pleasure Geldings, and followed that with a Top Ten in the Half-Arabian Western Pleasure Open Championship with Bob Hart.
Jessie Szymanski showed her new Half-Arabian western pleasure junior horse, Smokn N Havana, and proved to be a perfect match for each other. Together they earned two top tens in both of their Half-Arabian Western Pleasure Amateur Championship classes. Havana was second in the 3 and 4-year-old Half-Arabian Junior horse class, and then earned a Top Ten in the Half-Arabian Western Pleasure Junior Horse Championship as well with Bob Hart. Jessie is very excited about Havana and is looking forward to what the future holds for the two of them.
Bobbi Stuckenhoff, showing for the first time in many years, rode Princess Raves. Bobbi is the breeder of Princess Raves as well, making her top ten win in the Arabian Western Pleasure AAOTR Limit Rider Championship, that much more special. After her top ten ride, Bobbi was bit by the “show bug”, and is looking forward to the upcoming show season!
Riding in one of her favorite classes, Kathie Hart rode Vallejo Cylebrity+ in Arabian Working Cow AATR, earning a second place, and then following that with a top ten in the championship class under tough conditions due to rain. Keeping the success in the family in the cow ring, Bob Hart also showed Vallejo Cylebrity+ to a first place win and reserve championship in the Arabian Open Working Cow Division.
In the open division, the Vallejo shown horses continued to find success.
Vallejo Moonbeam+/, owned by Audrey Hart, showed in two preliminary classes, placing second and sixth, with Bob Hart. The duo then earned a top ten in the Arabian Western Pleasure Open Championship.
Sahara Jewel V, owned by Larry and Carol Smith of Stonehill Farms, placed third in the Arabian Western Pleasure Ladies to Ride, and sixth in Arabian Western Pleasure Junior Horse 5 year old, with assistant trainer Kiera Robinson, and then earned a second in Arabian Western Pleasure Junior Horse Mares, and a top ten in the Arabian Western Pleasure Junior Horse Championship with trainer Bob Hart.
Wolf Point Ranch had three horses exhibited at the Scottsdale Show by Vallejo III. KK Chics Patriot showed in the Half-Arabian Working cow division, placing second in the qualifying class, and then earning a top ten in the championship. Wolf Point’s other two horses, Navigator WP and My Belle Amie WP, were exhibiting in their first big show, each proving to have a promising future. Navigator earned a sixth place in a tough Purebred Arabian Western Pleasure Junior Horse Class, and Belle earned a fifth in an equally tough Half-Arabian Western Pleasure Junior Horse class.
The Renaissance proved once again, that he was born to be a show horse. Anytime Renaissance was out of his stall, people commented about how beautiful this stallion is, and as a four year old, he was brilliant in the show ring, earning a Reserve Championship in the English Pleasure Junior Horse with Shawn Rooker riding.
The Scottsdale Show was a great start to Vallejo’s 2010 show season, and has each of our amateur riders excited about the upcoming year. They are all making plans for their next show, and can’t wait to get back in the saddle again. Their enthusiasm and willingness to learn is exciting for all of us at Vallejo, and we couldn’t have been more proud of the progress they made at their first show of the season

VALLEJO III, INC. AT THE 2009 US NATIONALS
SUCCESS IN ALL RINGS

With well over 1800 horses in attendance at Nationals this year, the competition was extremely tough. From the Mustang Arena to the Ford Truck Arena to the Pavilion, the horses entrusted to Vallejo III, Inc. gained much success in all divisions.
Beginning the week’s schedule was the working cow and reined cow horse classes where hard earned Top Tens were won by: Noble Indeed in the Arabian Working Cow Horse Futurity owned by Jim & Jan Senneker, MB Kalamity Jane in Half-Arabian Working Cow Horse owned by Courtney Small, KK Chics Patriot in Half-Arabian Working Cow Horse owned by Wolf Point Ranch LLC, and Vallejo Coralmoon+// in Arabian Reined Cow Horse. Vallejo Cylebrity+ was National Champion in the Arabian Working Cow Horse AAOTR owned by Katharyn S. Hart and Vallejo Coralmoon+// was National Champion Arabian Working Cow Horse plus National Reserve Champion in the Arabian Reined Cow Horse ATR owned by Vallejo III, Inc.
In the Western Pleasure division the competition again was at its peak. Throughout the cuts horses exhibiting from across the country were the best of both pedigrees and performances. But again, success found its way back to the Vallejo III, Inc. horses with the following Top Tens: Link to Fame+ in Arabian Western Pleasure AAOTR 55 & over with Brent Gilman owned by Powers & Gilman Partnership. This was Brent’s first Top Ten and we are so proud of him as he just started learning our program this past January., Smokin n Havana in the Half-Arabian Western Pleasure Futurity owned by Jessie Szymanski, and Vallejo Moon Beam+/ in the Arabian Western Pleasure AAOTR 18 – 35 with Audrey Hart owned by Audrey Hart. Vallejo Zipinmoon+// was National Reserve Champion in Half-Arabian Western Pleasure owned by Trent Trahan.
In the English Pleasure division, without a doubt, The Renaissance, the unanimous National Champion in the Arabian English Pleasure Futurity with Shawn Rooker in the irons, was the buzz of the show. His extreme beauty, balanced and cadenced motion and enthusiastic show ring presence captured the eyes of the judges and the hearts of the crowd.
The Renaissance began his career coming to Vallejo III, Inc. through its “winter evaluation special” and subsequently was purchased by Vallejo III, Inc. Bob Hart spent the next 9 months preparing The Renaissance for ‘graduate school’ with Shawn Rooker and in August 2009 The Renaissance headed to Michigan. Now the rest is history.
Vallejo III, Inc. and customers bred their top mares to The Renaissance this year and while at US Nationals the rest of the Arabian horse community joined in the excitement by booking their mares.
The Renaissance will stand at Vallejo III, Inc. in 2010 at a breeding fee of $2500.
Building the Future......
During the 2009 Indiana All Arabian Horse Show in Cloverdale, Indiana, the Indiana Arabian Youth Association and Indiana Horse Club Judging Team invited Bob to present a conformation and basics of western pleasure clinic to them. They extended an invitation to the other exhibitors and trainers and it was very well attended. There were many great questions that brought everybody together with a lot of great dialog; it was very encouraging to see the participation and willingness to learn.
Bob enjoyed the opportunity to interact with participants and wishes more Class A shows would provide similar opportunities. What a great way to get people involved while also providing a learning environment! Bob's next Class A Clinic will be in September during the Music City show in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
Sahara Jewel V, owned by Boisvert Farms LLC and Vallejo Zipinmoon+//, owned by Trent Trahan, provided the equine subjects for the demonstrations. Not to be outdone by the horses, Bob's dog, Sam, was the star of the clinic; happily demonstrating respect and obedience.

Group Shot
Springtime at Vallejo III brings new foals, breeding and this year the Vallejo III Open House. Not only did the Open House showcase the incredible horses here at Vallejo, but also we were happy to welcome the Arabian Horse Association Registration Commission Spring Forum as well as the Arabian Horse Association’s President Lance Walters. Attendees came from Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Kansas, New York, Oklahoma and Virginia to learn from and enjoy the friendship and comraderie of fellow breeders.

Registration Commission
Bob Hart began the day with a clinic on a stress-free transition of a two year old from the pasture to the show barn. The crowd provided knowledgeable and thoughtful questions throughout the demonstration. The filly, Vallejo BejeweledMoon (Rohara Moonstorm x Vallejo Buckle Up) was confused by the change in environment at the beginning of the clinic. However, with her attentive and willing attitude she gave Bob the opportunity to demonstrate his “hooking up” technique exhibiting a non-fearful adjustment.

Lance Walters with Lollie Ames
After lunch, Arabian Horse Association President Lance Walters reviewed his agenda for the past few months to the crowd. He stressed his attention to the Arabian Horse Association’s budget, the World Horse Organization accepting the Arabian Horse Association, the Sweepstakes program, Data Source, and moving forward in today’s market with success.

Stan Morey & Bruce Clark
The Arabian Horse Association Registration Commission: Cynthia Richardson, Janice Birk, Debbie Fuentes, Bruce Clark, Patricia Hendershot, Bruce Johnson, Lollie Ames and Dennie Mack then conducted their segment of the program. They began with the Arabian Horse Association Registrar Debbie Fuentes, who brought the crowd up to speed with information regarding breeding and transfers relating to National and International applications. She announced that a registration amnesty for unregistered Arabians and Half-Arabians was to begin in the near future. As a result of the World Arabian Horse Organization accepting the Arabian Horse Association the new process for International registrations was also explained. The crowd was very savvy and asked many pointed questions of all the Arabian Horse Association representatives.

Attendees at outdoor presentation.
The day concluded with an outside showing of some of the exceptional show horses here at Vallejo III. The three breeding stallion of Vallejo III, Rohara Moonstorm, Link to Fame, and The Renaissance, rounded up the activities in a beautiful presentation.

Debbie Fuentes with Caroline Lackey and Vicki Carnahan
Everyone who attended enjoyed a fun and informative day. We at Vallejo III were honored to bring together so many horse enthusiasts with the knowledgeable Arabian Horse Association representatives.
